HATS AND SUNCREAM

Families are reminded to bring suncream and hats in the case of good weather, as well as keeping hydrated with plenty of water over the weekend. 

MEETING POINT

Children must be supervised at all times and the event team recommend using the Lost Children tent at the front of The Tropicana as a designated meeting point in case you get separated.

FIRST AID

Should you require medical attention, please head to the front of the Tropicana.

ROAD CLOSURES

Marine Drive will be closed on both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June between 10.30am – 6pm

SWIMMING

Please be reminded that the flight path is directly in front on the beach, therefore visitors will not be able to access the sea to swim or paddle. However Marine Lake or the Water Park at the North end of the promenade will be available for those who wish to get their toes wet!

NO KITES, BALLOONS OR DRONES

Weston Air Festival is requesting that no kites or balloons are flown. The Civil Aviation Authority has declared it illegal to fly a drone within four nautical miles of the Air Festival site. These measures are essential for the safety of the aircraft performing during the Air Festival, and any flying of drones will result in the Air Festival being suspended until the item has been landed. 

LITTER

Please dispose of your litter in the bins provided. Items not disposed of can effect flying displays and it is essential for the safety of the aircraft performing that no wrappers or other rubbish is loose on the seafront/surrounding area.

TRAVEL

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the Weston Air Festival. With the proposed National Rail Strike potentially affecting your travel, we’d advise that you plan ahead and take a look at some alternative transport options. This includes travel by bus, coach and by car. Details on each are below.

Please check the First Group website for any changes in bus timetables. 

We are expecting increased interest in parking and there are limited spaces close to the seafront available. Parking is available on the beach at Royal Sands (Seafront South), with alternative pay and display parking available in the Town Centre. For alternative car parking locations, please visit the North Somerset Council website.

Please refer to the Great Western Railway website for all updates on rail services over the weekend.

BY BUS

First Group run bus services to Weston-super-Mare. Please check their website for changes to timetable.

X1/X2 for travel to Bristol

126 for travel to Cheddar and Wells
X5 for travel to Clevedon and Portishead

X7 from Nailsea, Clevedon and Yatton
20 for travel to Brean and Burnham-on-Sea

TRAVEL BY RAIL

The Weston Air Festival is within easy reach of Weston-super-Mare train station, with a 15-minute walk to the seafront. Please follow signage.

TRAVEL BY CAR

Southbound follow the M5 to junction 21, then take the A370 exit to Weston-super-Mare.

Northbound follow the M5 to junction 22, then take the A38 exit to Weston-super-Mare/Burnham-on-Sea/Bristol (South)/Airport.

Follow the signage to Seafront South.

For satnav use Marine Parade, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 4NJ.

PARKING

Parking is available on the beach at Royal Sands (Seafront South). Please follow directional signage. £10 per vehicle per day (payment by cash or card) and parking will open will at 7am.

Alternative pay and display parking is available in the Town Centre. For alternative car parking locations visit the North Somerset Council website here.

COACH DROP OFF/PARKING

There is a coach drop off point on the promenade (drop off available before 10:30am and pick up after 6pm).

Coach parking available in Locking Road car park (BS23 3DE) £10 per coach.

Please be aware that for security reasons Marine Parade will be closed to all vehicles between 10.30am and 6pm. This will mean that no coach drop offs or pickups can take place in this area within this time frame.

Drop off will be available before 10.30am on Marine Parade so make sure to arrive in plenty of time. Collection will again be available after 6pm.

If these timings do not suit your journey you should arrange an alternative drop off & collection point with your passengers.

DISABLED PARKING

There is no disabled parking on the beach. However limited spaces are available along Marine Parade so please arrive early. There is also disabled parking in surrounding car parks.
